SB 356 -- ORGAN DONATIONS

SPONSOR:  Stoll (Harris, 110)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 19 to 0.

This bill changes the terminology used in the Organ Donation
License Law.  The bill clarifies the law by replacing the words
"making an organ donation" with "inclusion in the organ donor
registry" or "registry participation."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say this technical change will help the
organ donor program.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Crawford for Senator
Stoll.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
